Ibrom takes Tasman to its highest ever finish!
In a season full of highs and lows Jess Ibrom finished the season with Tasman United by taking the club to its highest finish in history.
After sitting bottom of the league at Christmas with only two wins from eight games Tasman United missed out on national league play offs by a mere two points when the season was concluded due to Covid-19. Post Christmas scoring goals for fun the franchise were able to defeat Eastern Suburbs, Hawkes Bay United, Southern United and Auckland City. There was some outstanding individual and team performances that will live long in the memory including defeating Auckland City who hadn't been beaten in 49 games.
“We made some adjustments with the playing group in the January transfer window and this combined with us finally converting the many chances we created resulted in an excellent finish to the campaign.” Jess Ibrom Head Coach
