Technical Director Ibrom had this to say:

" We came into the tournament with minimal preparation so we knew from the outset it would be a very big challenge for us especially being drawn in the toughest group with New Zealand, Tahiti and the Soloman Islands.

Taking a squad of just 14 players and with a number of players having their first taste of international football was a great opportunity to really play with great freedom and this proved in the impressive performances the players put in. We conceded in each game in the last five minutes which was down to fatigue but we where always in the game. The experience the players will get from such an incredible experience will hold them in great stead in the future and they have represented their country with great pride and passion. "
